January...
Filled with a Goodhart Christmas with the final yankee swap, a very special Mother in Law celebrating a big birthday with the most yummy Greg's cake, a first Dumont/Crawford Christmas for Miss Alyssa, and a 3D sneak peak of baby surprise, a beautiful snow storm.
February...
Filled with so much adventure. I started to sell Scentsy, a company that has taken me for a very nice ride. I cannot wait to see what it shall bring for me in the future. Also, I spent a week in the hospital with a kidney stone, while pregnant. Not at all fun! My boys celebrated cousin Alyssa's very first Minnie themed birthday at Nana and Pops.
March...
We celebrated Mom's birthday over two days, first at the Rainforest Cafe and then at The Olde Theater Diner. There was more snow and a very quiet at home birthday for Daddy.
April...
We kicked off the month by having a big birthday celebration for Scott at the Olde Theater Diner with all his friends and family. The kiddos all enjoyed the arcade atmosphere, the cake and we even had a very special meeting of Miss Alexia. The middle of the month was playgrounds, Easter Bunnies and gardening. We also celebrated our last Easter of a family of 4. The night of Easter, the boys spent the night at Grammie & Papas. The next morning Scott and I headed out to our scheduled c-section and we would find out that we were blessed with another very special little boy...named Trace Russell. Two short days later he came home and we were finally a family of five!
May...
We spent the first day of the month with family at a park and zoo, truly an amazing day. We enjoyed an early's mother day at the Dumonts and mother's day at Nan's with my family. Drake's 3rd birthday came quickly and we hosted a pirate themed party. Birthdays always remind me of how many friends and families we are blessed to have in our lives. We also said goodbye to some family that would be moving.
June...
Jacey turned 5 and we attended her amazing carnival bash with an amazing magician! Our garden was beginning to grow and sprout. The boys really enjoyed watching the cycle of life happen and enjoyed even more the fruits and beans of their labor. The remainder of the month was spent bowling, attending air shows, packing up Scentsy orders and family time. Lastly, we said goodbye to Pat and Russ, as they would journey back to the south. Never an easy thing, saying goodbye.
July...
Will always start in rememberance, can hardly believe it has been 4 years. This year the day was shared with the happiness of the Jordan Bodington wedding. We were blessed to be part of this happy weekend. We finally hosted our very first cookout at home. We also had a small cookout at Rita and David Dumont's. The boys throroughly enjoyed the pool, the food and the company.
August...
The family went camping! It was a great weekend, even though the second night was rained out. Hidden Acres will now be a yearly tradition. Speaking of traditions, we attended this year's Washington County Fair. We always have a great time, the kids really enjoyed the animals. We also weathered Hurricane Irene, granted not at home. We packed up and headed to Mom and Pete's home. We were without power for four days. We were thankful for the amazing hospitality but were glad to be in our own realm again.
September...
Picnics, zoo trips, and most importantly, Drake, our little boy, started school! It was a happy but sad day. I may have cried a tiny bit. We also trekked up to NH and toured Santa's Village for two days with some of our favorite people.
October...
Scott and attended the Goodhart-Okeefe wedding and it was a beautifully fun evening. The kiddos spent the day and night with Aunty Gayle and Kelsey. We attended Drea's 4th Halloween birthday party and enjoyed the festivities. The boys had a great Halloween as a Ninja, a monkey and a pea pod. They were terribly cute and we have photos courtesy Cathryn Wirth in the Clawfoot tub! What an incredible experience! Let's not forget Trace learned to crawl!!!!
November...
Colten turned 2! We hosted a bowling party at Wickford Lanes and all the kids enjoyed duckpin bowling and donut cake. We tagged our non-Christmas tree and decorated a little early, but who is counting :) Thanksgiving was held at Mom and Petes and it was super yummy, as always. We also learned that the Goodhart family will grow by two in the summer of 2012!
December...
I spent the beginning selling Scentsy at the bazzaars. Our family also had the honor of seeing Pete propose to my Mom. He planned this big event and pulled it off, my Mom didn't have a clue but she said YES! We did our yearly tradition of Edaville, a tad bit later and chillier than usual. Christmas Eve was spent with Chris, Stephanie, Theresa and Kelsey. Then midday, Kelsey, Drake, Colten and I attended our very first Christmas Eve service. We got to see Landon be the cutest sheep ever! After those festivities we opened our gift from Christopher the Elf, he brought us Hoopla Twister and Kelsey and I enjoyed the game as much as the boys. The boys were tucked in to bed and Mommy and Daddy got to wrapping and helping Santa. Christmas morning was full of smiles and cinnamon rolls. Later we went to Nans and had a great meal. Then off to Moms, the kids were slightly tired but everyone had a great night. We even brought Hoopla and everyone enjoyed making a fool of themselves. Tonight will be low key and I will be surrounded by my four favorite men.
My hopes for 2012 are big! There will be Chelsea's wedding, arrival of the Kerry and Brian's baby, arrival of Will and Cassidy's baby, my boys all growing a year older, other big birthdays and family vacations. Also hoping for some family reunions ;)
